Terms of Service

Last updated 12 May 2026

Aircrate is a freight-forwarding service operated from Paramaribo, Suriname. We ship parcels from the United States to Suriname on behalf of customers. By using air-crate.com, requesting a quote, or paying for a shipment, you accept these terms.

1. What we do

Two services:

2. Pricing

Freight is $4.35 per pound, always rounded up to the next whole pound. So 4.1 lb costs the same as 5 lb. This rounding is the carrier's rule, not ours, and we apply it consistently.

Quotes are valid for 72 hours. We may decline or re-quote an order if a declared weight turns out to be materially wrong when the package arrives.

3. Payment

Payment is via PayPal (PayPal account or card). We do not store card numbers. For non-member full-service orders we collect a 50% deposit upfront and the remaining 50% once the package arrives at our US warehouse and the final weight is confirmed. Members pay in full at checkout.

4. Refunds and cancellations

5. What you can't ship

The US-to-Suriname air corridor and our partner carrier prohibit:

If a prohibited item is in your shipment we may refuse it, dispose of it at the US warehouse, or in serious cases report it to authorities. The freight charge is non-refundable in these cases.

6. Customs and duties

Our quote includes air freight and clearance through Paramaribo customs. Suriname import duties, sales tax, and any inspection fees imposed by SR customs are your responsibility unless our quote explicitly itemises them as included.

7. Insurance and liability

By default, shipments include the carrier's standard coverage: up to $1,000 CIF value, with a $25 minimum charge if you want coverage applied. Above $1,000, coverage is available at 2.5% of declared CIF value, arranged before the shipment leaves the US warehouse. Without an explicit insurance line on your invoice, your shipment is uninsured.

Our liability for delay, loss, or damage is capped at the insured value of the shipment, or the freight charge if the shipment was uninsured. We are not liable for consequential damages (lost sales, missed events, etc.) under any circumstances.

8. Delivery times

Transit times are estimates, not guarantees. Typical US → PBM transit is 4–8 business days from the moment your package is consolidated at the US warehouse. Customs holds, weather, and carrier delays can extend this.

9. Membership

Aircrate Member is a monthly subscription billed at the price shown on /membership at the time you subscribe. Benefits apply for as long as the subscription is current. You can cancel any time from your account page; benefits remain active until the end of the period you've already paid for. We do not pro-rate refunds on cancellations.

10. Your account

One account per person, registered with an email you control. Sharing account access is fine for household members; we treat anyone signing in with a valid magic link or Google sign-in as authorised. Don't impersonate someone else or use the service to facilitate fraud.

11. Service availability

We aim for 24/7 site availability but make no uptime guarantee. Maintenance windows and outages may occur. Quotes outstanding during an outage remain valid for their original 72-hour window.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes to pricing, refunds, or liability will be emailed to active customers at least 14 days before taking effect.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Suriname. Disputes that can't be resolved by email or phone go to the courts of Paramaribo.

14. Contact

Email [email protected]. We read every message — Aircrate is run by one operator, so you're emailing the person who packs your box.
